Who Can Foster?

 You can foster if you:

  • Are at least 21 years old
  • Can provide a safe and loving home 
  • Have stable housing and income 
  • Pass background checks 
  • Complete required DFPS trainings 
  • Are emotionally ready to support a child with unique needs

Steps to Becoming a Foster Parent

 

1. Submit an Inquiry

Start by contacting our team.

2. Attend Orientation

Learn about fostering with One Tribe.

3. Complete Required Trainings

Including trauma, medical consent, psychotropic, CPR, etc.

4. Home Study Process

We help prepare your home and complete the assessment.

5. Licensing Approval

Once approved, you officially become a foster parent.

6. Welcome a Child Into Your Tribe

We help match you with a child who fits your home and abilities.
